Rheumatologist advised on medication that needed to be taken every other day for the rest of her life, including a steroid to soothe the stomach lining from the medication. This also included the elimination of gluten, vitamin c rich foods and red meat from her diet. This had obvious implications on energy levels, immunity, and skin health (dull skin, loose skin and stretch marks were protruding). This was due to the now lack of vitamin c rich foods. The body needs vitamin c for collagen production which also reduces naturally with age.
